Hi

Thanks a lot for writing this JavaScript library.

Are you guys planning to integrate the SP.UI.Notify for the Ajax calls? if not, I would like to volunteer.

thanks.

Alex:

Could you explain a little more about what you're thinking? I'm not sure that you need AJAX to talk to SP.UI.Notify.

Hi Marc

I am sorry, for the confusion, let me try to be more clear.

The SPservices uses a lot of ajax calls to communicate to the Soap services in SharePoint, for example in the version 0.5.8 lines 1659, 929,1088, 2226, etc.

I was thinking, it would be nice to add a SP.UI.Notify before and after each $.ajax call to show to the end user that a synch operation is happening in the background. Or leverage the $.ajaxStart() and $.ajaxStop() to call the SP.UI.Notify. I notice SharePoint take a long time to answer some of the SOAP calls. And SP.UI.Notify is a nice addition to the script.

Like I said, if it is not in your plans, I volunteer to add this feature, QA and send the code for you to post here at codeplex.

Thanks a lot for this JS library, it is amazing the number of hours you guys put in this and make available to the community.

Alex.
