What's funny is that it seems I can't get any of the SPServices to work with WSS....

Here is an example of the code I have placed in the CEWP of newform.aspx:

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="/Javascript/jquery-1.4.2.min.js"></script>
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="/Javascript/jquery.SPServices-0.5.8.min.js"></script>
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
$().SPServices.SPRedirectWithID({
redirectUrl: "editForm.aspx",
qsParamName: "ID"
});</script>

=====

You're not wrapping the call to SPServices in $(document).ready, so it's probably firing too early.

It's also good to start with a simple alert function:

$(document).ready(function() {
	alert("jQuery Library Loaded");
});

If you get the alert, then you know all of the references to jQuery are valid and firing at the correct time.

Marc,

Can you tell me how to do that?  I'm a cut and paste code kind of person.

Nevermind.  I got it to work.  The path to the jquery and spservices libraries was incorrect.

Glad you got it working! That's *the* most common issue people have, so don't feel too bad. ;+)
