SPServices.SPCascadeDropdowns sometimes fails to return values in IE

We have been using the cascade function to filter a list of Authorisers by Department for a couple of months, and it has been working well.

Strangely though, in the last week, we have added some new Authorisers to the list, and these are not being returned to the browser.

However when I tried to walk through the Javascript code in Firefox - then the new Authoriser names show up perfectly. Weird.

Has anyone else found this?

	relationshipList: "{B00FBD58-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-273E32146AD5}",
	relationshipListParentColumn: "Department_x002C_",
	relationshipListChildColumn: "Title",
	parentColumn: "Department",
	childColumn: "Authoriser",
	promptText: "Choose {0}...",
	CAMLQuery: "<Eq><FieldRef Name='Authoriser'/><Value Type='Integer'>1</Value></Eq>",
	debug: true

Sample data:

Title, Department, Authoriser
H Smith,  RM Support - North West and North Wales - Wigan, Yes

I don't see anything obvious. Are there any special characters in any of the new values? (I don't see any above, but...) Look for some sort of common characteristic across the values which aren't showing up.

But the code runs fine in Firefox, and the values are returned in that browser session, so I am stumped.

There are 1268 items in the list I am filtering, should that make any difference?

The obvious Common Characteristic is a set of department names seems to start with RM Support - North West & North Wales - xxxxx.

Some of the problem Department names have & - but others have & and do not cause a problem.

More Data: (only records 1696 and 1700 are causing a problem)

5 random edits later I found the error that is tripping up Internet Explorer

RM Support - North West and North Wales -  Liverpool  (one extra space in the original department name, not visible in most screens in the browser!)

Thanks for your patience
