Flags like in OWA (outlook web Access)?

i'm new in sharepoint and in these discusions, but maybe someone can show me directions of my need?

Situation: Sharepoint 2010 foundantion. Documnets library in which coming documnets every minute (by email).

10 employees working with these documents in same time.

I need to make like this: if one employee start work with one item, he can flag this item as like "processing" what other emloyees start work with other documents. Chekin/chekout function is to slow for our needs.

Maybe here is some solution like in OWA - peoples logen in shared mailbox, and if start processing one mail add flag on it, other people imediatally see this flag,, ?

You might want to try using the Lists Web Services to check out/check in, rather than the "normal" process. You can instrument it however you'd like.

Thank you, i will chek this out.

But it looks it is not what i'm seraching.. chekinIn/ChekOut seems not meet my requirements..

I need to do somehow what pressed some link or button refresh list data in all opened client computers immediately (What users don't need press Refresh every time to see what documents in list is updated).
