Get the Item ID from a list item dialog window

I am looking for a way on how I can get the specific List Item ID of the item that was clicked, which prompts the default SharePoint Modal dialog box for viewing the item details. I have been able to change my settings and not show View, Edit, or New items in a dialog, where I use SPGetQueryString(), however it would be much nicer to be able to get the ID and use the dialog.

The ID is still there, even in a dialog. The dialog opens in an iframe, so you can still look at the Query String.

For example, the iframe might contain:

https://servername/Lists/Contacts/EditForm.aspx?ID=1&ContentTypeId=0x010600E5C9FE5FB4E59644BE10ECCC918E2E82&IsDlg=1

Marc,
I should have tried it with dialogs on prior to opening this up. My solution still works beautifully. I had thought that was the case with the dialogs, opening in an iFrame, however thank you very much for the confirmation. Thanks again for the help and the quick response!

Thanks,
Scott
