Is there a way to get all the direct reports of a manager using SPServices against SharePoint 2010?
To clarify, giving a parameter of a user ID, retrieve all the Names of the users how have this user as their manager.

Check out the User Profile Service, specifically the UserProfileService.GetCommonManager Method.

I was hoping UserProfileService will answer this. but GetCommonManager is kind of the opposite of what I need.

If I have user X who report to Z and I have user Y who report to Z, calling GetCommonManager with X + Y will give Z
But I can't get X and Y when I call with Z.

Yeah, the User Profile Service is sort of backward in a number of ways, but that's what we've got.
