DateTime lookup not localized after SPCascadeDropdowns()

Hi Guys,

I use the SPCascadeDropdown function to filter a DateTime lookup to the appointments of a selected category. This works great for me! The only problem I have, is that the date is in the wrong format. Instead of dd.mm.yyyy it is displayed in the format yyyy-mm-dd. When I skip the SPCascadeDropdown function it is formated correctly.

Can you give me some advice how I could fix it? Is it a bug or a Feature?

thx in advance! Best regards,

Florian:

I'm not sure I've ever tested a date/time column as the child in SPCascadeDropdowns. The function would simply display the value as it comes back from the GetListItems call., which would be a UTC date/time string.

Thank you for your fast reply! I almost guessed that as it's a quite uncommon scenario to filter a datetime lookup. I'll try to convert the date by myself...

thx!

Is the childColumn data a date/time column or just text? (I assume the former.)

I don't take the column type into account when I format the values in the dropdown, but maybe I should. I think that 90+% of the time, the values are Single line of text, though.

Indeed it's a date/time column :)
