New Coder, need help with SPXmlToJson

Hi folks, I'm hoping someone can assist. If this is better for another forum, please advise me!

I'm attempting to use the following Jquery plugin to add a 'timeline' looking page to my SharePoint: https://timeglider.com/widget/index.php

Its a jquery widget, and I can host it and it works just fine no problems. My issue is that it requires as a source a .json file. I'm using SharePoint 2010 and I'm not very familiar with JSON, but I can get Sharepoint to export the list as XML no problems. I'm familiar with SPservices and was thinking of using GetListItems and feeding the results into SPXmlToJson, but for the life of me I havn't been able to figure out if its possible to use SPServices to dump list data to a .json file. Can anyone clear that up for me?

Take a look at the SPGetListItemsJson function instead. It'll do all of the heavy lifting for you.
