SPFilterDropdown not working for required fields

Dec 5, 2014 at 8:50 AM
Hi Mark,

I am filtering a single select lookup dropdown in the child list. When i make the field not required, i dont have to use the "Required Field" as an addition in the name and it works correctly. Even with this workaround, the resultant drop down still shows "None" as the 1st option which it shouldn't i think.

I am on SP2010 SP2 on premises. I have tried using the latest 2014.01 Beta2 and 2014.02 Intellisense but it does not seem to be helping. Any ideas?

Thanks
$(document).ready(function(){
$().SPServices.SPFilterDropdown(
    {
        relationshipList: "Open Positions",
        relationshipListColumn: "Title",
        relationshipListSortColumn: "Title",
        columnName: "Vacancies Required Field",
        CAMLQuery: "<Eq><FieldRef Name='Status'/><Value Type='Text'>Active</Value></Eq>",
        debug: false
    });
})

Add this completefunc option :

completefunc: function () {
            $("select[title='YourSelectorForTheDropdownHere'] option[value=0]").remove();
            $("select[title='YourSelectorForTheDropdownHere']").prepend("<option value='' ></option>");
        },
