Suggested enhancement to SPCascadeDropdowns

Dear Marc,

Because of the strangeness associated with the 20+ items in a dropdown control (and the difference between FF and IE on rendering), may I suggest an optional "default:" attribute for this one?

In the meantime, these two calls will work:

$("select[title=YourControl]").val("DefaultValue"); // for Firefox
$("input[title=YourControl]").val("DefaultValue").next("img").trigger("click"); // for IE
$("input[title=Title]").focus(); // for IE (assuming you have @Title on your form)

The idea being that you'd specify the default value to which to set the dropdown IF it has not already been set, right?

This would actually end up embedded deep in the SPCascadeDropdowns code so it would take a slightly different form.

Yes, exactly.
