Strange behavior with $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser

Jun 1, 2012 at 9:35 AM

Hi all,

I am using the function $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser to retrieve the currrent user login in the OOTB DispForm.aspx. When the page is in edit mode everything works fine. When I save the page and is in display mode, i see an error message "Hit error Fn!" a javascript alert message. I have searched in the jQuery files to figure out the message to supress that, but i could not find it any where in any of the scripts.¨

This is really a pain, and any pointer to suppress are highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Paramesh.

I've never seen that alert. It's certainly not coming from SPServices. I think you'll have to do some debugging.

Never saw this error, but this may help. If you are using firefox and Firebug, use the script debugger and search for those words... if it is in a js file, it should find it and show you the file (unless it was script loaded with jQuery's .getScript() )
