Bulk Emails from List

Feb 12, 2010 at 7:46 PM

I sometmes get into the weeds too quickly so I wanted to throw this out to the community.

I have a Contacts List which each Contact has an "opt out" column. I would like to send an email to all Contacts in the List as long as they have not opted out. I have no issues using the SPServices library to query and get the correct members to send the email to. I am challenged on sending the email itself. The content of the email is simple and static. I just need a sanity check that I haven't overlooked some "out of the box" feature that allows me to already do this. I have considered workflow but without the ability to iterate items, it makes it difficult.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts...

I wasn't sure about my answer, so I pinged my tweeps:
